Hey Reader, Have you ever looked up at the moon and been struck by its beauty? That's what happened to me the other night. The moon was so full and bright, so I picked up a small pair of binoculars I keep near the back door for just such occasions. Wow! The moon was incredible! How could God create something so wonderfully beautiful, that serves multiple purposes, and on top of that allow us the technology to admire its beauty from so far awayโastounding! I wished there was some way I could capture a photo. I tried several different tricks I read online for getting a good photo of the moon with a smartphone, but to no avail. Then I came across a couple of free apps that help you take the best possible photos of the moon with your phone, and here's the photo I ended up with. Not the best quality, but better than a tiny, featureless white dot. This photo, at least, is actually identifiable as the moon! ๐ I stood there thinking about how the moon is so bright and lovely, but that it actually has no light of its ownโit's merely a reflection of the sun's light. There's no way we could ever look straight at the sun and be able see what it really looks like, but we get a glimpse of it when we look at the moon. And that's when this revelation hit me like a bolt of lightning... Just as the moon is a reflection of the sun, so Jesus is a reflection of the Father! Woah! What an analogy of Himself God has depicted for us in the heavens! It reminds me of the prophets of old. Remember how they acted out their prophecies? And here the Lord has done the same for us to observe in His creation! Just like the sun, we cannot look upon the FatherโHis holiness and glory is too much for us. But just like the moon, Christ reflects the Father's holiness and everything that He is, giving us a clear look at God by gazing upon His Son! How marvelous, right?! When that analogy hit me in that moment, oh how I sobbed like a baby. ๐ญ What a wonderful Father to allow us to see His goodness reflected in everything good in His creation! When we have eyes to see and hearts willing to understand, God will reveal Himself to us in many ways. These Bible verses came to mind when thinking about this: And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 1:14, NKJV
Thank you, Lord, for allowing us to see Your glory in Your Son! Jesus replied, โHave I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still donโt know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you?
โ
John 14:9, NLT
Just like the moon reflecting the light of the sun, anyone who has seen the Lord Jesus has seen the Father! Hallelujah! The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display his craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known.
They speak without a sound or word;
their voice is never heard.
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
and their words to all the world.
โ
Psalm 19:1-4a, NLT
How blessed we are, to look up and see the heavens proclaim God's glory, day after day and night after night! For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualitiesโhis eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
โ
Romans 1:20, NLT
What a majestic God we serve, to make sure that we are absolutely without any excuse for knowing that He exists and is our all-powerful Creator. We thank you Lord, and we praise Your name. May Your name be lifted up and worshipped in all the earth! Have an amazing week, my friend, and as always, choose to live by grace! ๐ Liv P.S. As we go about our daily lives, let's pray for God to have His wayโto work in us so that we become reflections of His love and goodness, shining out with the light of the gospel! ๐

I equip women for Christian living by helping them discern the truth through studying God's Word and inspiring them to share the gospel. I also offer free resources, share creation photo essays, and love to laugh along the way! ๐
Hey Reader, Once a month I send an email with Christian memes to brighten your day and provide some lighthearted laughs. That was supposed to be the email I was going to send today. But after what I saw yesterday, that plan changed. Yesterday was the sentencing for the man who killed the four University of Idaho students back in 2022. The perpetrator had initially stood silent to the charges, forcing the judge to enter a not guilty plea on his behalf. But just as he was about to head to trial...
Hey Reader, Did you know that Jesus is making Himself known to Jewish people today? Praise God, He is opening the eyes of His chosen people Israel to the good news that Jesus is their Messiah! I received a newsletter the other day from Jews For Jesus, and there was an article titled, "Jesus Appears to Atheist Man Three Times." That caught my attention immediately. Many Christians around the world are praying faithfully for Israel to receive her Messiah, and what wonderful fruit God is...
Hey Reader, Today marks 2 months since the 40 Days of Prayer event ended. It was such a wonderful time of fellowship of people all over the world! If you didn't attend, I encourage you to consider joining in on the Zoom calls and replays next September-October. I know it will be a blessing to you as it was to me. And don't worry, you can remain silent on the call. Only those who volunteer to lead in prayer are called upon. Anyway, that 40 Days was such an impactful time for me in my walk with...
